Liverpool vs Benfica - 1:30 AM

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel says he has no regrets after Real Madrid were knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday.

Chelsea lost to Mason Moyes in the first leg last week. Real Madrid won 3-1 thanks to goals from Antonio Rudiger and Timor-Leste, but Rodrigo scored in extra time.

Karen Benzema was the last to say that she went home six minutes later to win 5-4 on aggregate.

Chelsea became only the second English team to score three goals away from home against Los Blancos in all European competitions. In May 1968, Manchester United drew 3-3 in the European Cup.

However, it is not enough to help the holders of the last four teams. Tuchel was proud of his players' efforts but regretted not being able to eliminate mistakes on both legs.

"We were unlucky," he told a news conference. "We were disappointed because we lost because of individual qualities and changes. We made two mistakes and lost two games. After today we deserved to get through. It did not happen.

"We have to reduce our mistakes and not go for less than two feet. We had two important football losses. :

"I have no regrets. It's a loss to be proud of as an athlete.

"The players adapted to the different style we did with Brentford in the first half.

"We are very disciplined and very active in investing in football. We have shown courage and shown our quality. This is the right way. If we have that kind of effort, we are a special team."

Marcos Alonso was spotted by the VAR for handball before Werner scored his third goal, and referee Szymon Marciniak disappointed Tuchel before watching the incident on the sidelines.

Asked if the decisions were against him, Tuchel said: "Not just today. When you play against Real Madrid, not everyone is expected to be brave.

"In the first round and today, I feel like the decisions went awry. I was very disappointed that he did not see the goal, but he came out on his own and did not check. The boss should have not made any decisions.

Chelsea will face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final next Sunday.
