Sassuolo vs Atalanta - 7:30 PM

Ancelotti praised Gareth Bale's professionalism after being cheered on by Real Madrid fans in Saturday's win over Gareth Bale.

In the 2-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu, Bale was substituted in the 74th minute, scoring two of five to four shots, one of which was to test Getafe goalkeeper David Soria from a distance.

The 32-year-old midfielder has scored four crucial goals in the Spanish capital, winning four Champions League titles, but has missed a number of games in recent years due to injury.

Bale has also stated that he prefers to play for Wales rather than his club and expects to end his nine-year deal at Madrid at the end of the season.

After the match, Ancelotti refused to criticize the fans, but praised Bale and insisted he would continue to play if he was fit.

"The fans are very important against PSG," he said, referring to the recent 3-2 draw with PSG in the Champions League last 16.

"Bale is a bit windy, but he is a serious professional and he can play if he is well."

With goals from Casemiro and Lucas Vazquez, Real Madrid are 12 points clear at the top of the La Liga standings, and Ancelotti is adamant he is happy with his side's performances, but insists the trophy is not over.

"We're getting closer to [the title]," he said. "It's a good race, but it is not over. We have to keep fighting and now we have two away games against Sevilla and Osasuna."

Chelsea travel to Spain in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final next Tuesday, with Madrid leading 3-1 on aggregate.

Chelsea warmed up for Saturday's 6-0 win over Southampton, with Ancelotti still wary of his former club, saying: "It will be a difficult game.

"Today (Chelsea) won by a lot of goals. We have to focus a lot."
