Real Madrid coach Ancelotti has confirmed that Casimiro will play Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final.
The 30-year-old suffered a 4-3 defeat in the first leg on Tuesday and missed the rest of the season with a hamstring injury and a lack of defensive prowess and a Tony Cross cross.
The Brazilian was substituted due to muscle problems in Thursday's 3-1 win over Osasuna. At the same time, David Alaba was sent off in extra time and Nacho was given a chance at center-back.
Ancelotti is unsure of Alaba but is believed to be linked with a move for the midfielder in Santiago Bernabeu.
"Certainly in Casemiro (play)," he said. "We have to evaluate Alaba. I have experienced some of the recent discomforts and I have stopped the problems. I think they are both ready for the second round."
Manchester City were a better team on Tuesday, starting with two goals in the opening 11 minutes.
Real Madrid were held to a 3-2 draw by Karin Benzema's defense and a lone goal from Venice.
According to Ancelotti, they still have a place in the May finals, but if they are not released first,
"It will be difficult for us to see another game like today in the second round," he said. "City have an advantage. That's to be considered, but knowing that this is not a great advantage, will fight for another magical night.
"We started badly and we were very weak. We conceded two goals and we have been very responsive since then.
"We competed until the end of the game. We had to defend better and have a lot of chances to make good football. "It's very important to defend better for the second leg."
