Kylian Mbappe has opened the door to a contract extension in Paris Saint-Germain, saying there have been 'new points' in discussions with his latest officials.
Ambati, who was linked with a move to Real Madrid last summer, has been linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season, but PSG have been working hard to keep him at the club and have issued him a blank check. Not enough yet.
Speaking to Amazon Prime after two goals and three assists in Sunday's 5-1 win over Lorient, Mbappe insisted he still has a real chance of staying in Paris beyond this summer.
"If I had made a decision, I would have told you," he said. "I do not have to tell anyone. If I make a decision, I will be responsible. I have always considered the good and the bad.
"I do not have to hide. I did not kill anyone. I want to make the best decision I can.
"I'm still thinking about it. There are new components and new limitations. I want to make the right choice. I know it will take some time for people."
He was later asked if it was possible for him to stay at PSG, to which he replied: "Yes."
Mbappe emphasized that the decision was not a signal of a formal antitrust inquiry into Paris.
"It is not clear whether this is a good sign or not," he said. "It's good to always have the love of the people here. Thank them for that. The whole stadium is shouting your name. It's nothing."
