Thomas Tuchel admits Barcelona are growing tired of Chelsea's pursuit of Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta and Chelsea could keep him this summer.Barcelona have made little secret of their desire to add Azpilicueta, who have already signed Andreas Christensen from Chelsea on a free transfer, asking them to let him leave for a reduced price. But Tuchel said any deal would risk collapsing if the two clubs' values on the 32-year-old diverge.“It's a tough question because I'm not sure if I want to give Azpi what he wants. Sometimes that's all we want. It was compared to how much we fought for a man [Kalidou] Koulibaly. Roughly the same age as the team player," Tuchel said."He is a very important player for Napoli, but Chelsea also have a Spanish international who is the captain.
I see him at the same level, but Barcelona don't see him at that level. He's a great player, so give him what he wants.I don't think much about other clubs. The main focus is on us and what we need, so I told him and he said he understood on a personal and professional level. I am the Chelsea manager who wants to do the best for Chelsea in this position to give him what he wants."He doesn't like it, but he understands. It's difficult for him because another club is always on him. He can play at his highest level when things calm down at the first of September."Asked if he was upset about Barcelona's push for Azpilicueta, he replied: "Maybe a little bit."
